Professor Robert J. Wasson is Director of the Centre for Resource and Environmental Studies, Australian National University, Canberra, Australia, and also Vice-Chair of the IGBP Scientific Committee. He is an earth scientist with a strong interest in river catchment studies and management, and the relationships between global change and water resources.
