In the line of fire

Scientists who published the famous “hockey stick” graph experienced sustained attacks soon after the figure was incorporated in the 2001 report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Now one of those scientists, Ray Bradley, has written a very personal account of his experience. He spoke to Owen Gaffney about his new book.

Registration open for SOLAS Open Science Conference

The Surface Ocean - Lower Atmosphere Study (SOLASexternal link, opens in new window), a core project of IGBP, invites you to register for the SOLAS Open Science Conference (OSC) 2012 to be held in Cle Elum, Washington State 7 – 10 May 2012.

The conference will cover a broad range of physical, chemical, and biological linkages between the surface ocean and lower atmosphere. The SOLAS Scientific Steering committee invite you to join them in presenting your recent findings and developing future research directions and collaborations.

The SOLAS OSC will be held on the sunny slopes of the Cascade mountains at the Suncadia Resort near Cle Elum, Washington State, USA, less than 150 km (90 mi) east of Seattle.
